Sherrie Boutwell will be sharing a fun and informative update on the latest developments in disclosures delivered from the Department of Labor.

Electronic disclosures rules for retirement plans, including:

  • The disclosures that can take advantage of the new Safe Harbor
  • The electronic methods that can be used to make the disclosures
  • The details of the new Safe Harbor process, including content, security, and system requirements

New Lifetime Income disclosures, including:

  • What content is required to be included
  • What assumptions are required/permitted in creating these illustrations
  • When and how these disclosures must be provided
  • Related fiduciary issues

Sherrie Boutwell

Sherrie Boutwell has focused for thirty years in the areas of employee benefits
law and ERISA, with an emphasis on retirement and deferred compensation plans. She advises and counsels a broad range of clients, including employers, employees, plan fiduciaries, financial institutions, government agencies and trade associations, on a wide range of employee benefits matters.
