An Analysis of Investor Behavior

Christopher Gowe, regional vice president in the independent advisor and RIA divisions for Columbia Management, will address the following topics:
  • Investor psychology: A discussion of the more significant cognitive biases from the field of behavioral finance.
  • Investor behavior: An examination of how these decision-making errors translate into common investing errors.
  • Investor results: An analysis of new research that quantifies the impact of investor errors on investment returns, independent of other factors like the performance of the investments selected.
